The Enshittification
This is the first film that I’ve both written and produced. It was a fairly large production with over 30 cast & crew, and was shot over three days and three locations. Huge thanks to DS Studios for providing all their gear and mahi, and also to Karen Codd, Sean Hurst and the entire cast for giving this idea life. It is currently being entered into film festivals but I can provide a private link if you want to view it.
The Enshittification is a dark comedy that takes aim at how social media has really "turned to shit". It's follows Jimmy on a night out, as he visits different bars that are metaphors for the major social media platforms. He encounters ads, paywalls, and colourful characters, each designed to push him to his breaking point.

This is my latest production as part of the 48hrs Film Competition for 2025. It’s my third screenplay that’s been put to film, and the fifth that I’ve produced. Once again this was a fairly large team, with 16 people and at least $100k worth of camera and lighting gear. It was shot across three locations around Auckland in around 10 hours. I wrote and produced this short as part of a practice run for the 2025 48hours film competition. The theme was time loop, and the required elements were based around the use of disability aids and Te Reo Māori. It was made with mostly the same crew and gear as the actual competition film.
